The final boss battle on this level simply a man in a mechanized box which fires cannonballs at the players. What makes this boss so powerful is the rate of which he fires the cannonballs at, only allowing the player small windows to avoid the oncoming attacks. The boss has 3 animations, the first is his basic idle positioning for when he’s inactive, the second (middle) image is an animation of the boss taking damage from a blaster shot, pushing him back in his chair. Lastly the third sprite sheet is an animation of the boss firing the cannonballs, although difficult to see on the image, the boss is pulling the lever up and down, to launch the projectile, like an arcade game.

Level 3: Steampunk NPC’s
This minion will act as a basic ground minion, similar to the scarab beetle in the previous level, the gear minion doesn’t have any powers, it acts as a civilian of this steampunk city rolling side to side on the pathway. To defeat in the player will need to shoot it or jump over it.
The Zeppelin will be an aerial enemy for the player to shoot down and dodge. This minion will move side to side along the top of the screen, dropping bombs down on the pathway below. The player has to avoid the bombs be timing their movements or as usual, destroy them by shooting them down.
Level 3: Steampunk Design
This is the main inspirational image we used to base our designs from. All objects in the foreground and background look as though they are part of this heavily industrialised city, as well as this, they had to look as though they were from this era with each object having unique steampunk designs, seen in the images below.
These objects will be placed around the level frequently. The assets each have individual properties. The lamp gives of general light in that area. The Tesla coil asset will act as an instant Killzone if the player was to fall onto it. The gear will be used as scenery, rotating in the background and as a platform for the player to jump on. Lastly, the window will be placed on the sides of factoring in the level, the player will also be able to jump onto the window to reach higher locations.
Level 3: Steampunk Background
The third level of our game is set in the late 1800’s in a steampunk city. Shown by the factories and chimney stacks polluting the environment. As well as this steampunk styled zeppelins can be seen hovering above the city as it is one of the main ways of transportation in this era. Everything is either run by clocks or gears as it is the modern day mechanical technology.
Level 2: Desert Boss
The main boss of this level is a giant armoured scarab beetle. Just like the Jurassic rex boss, the beetle has equipped an advanced futuristic helmet with a large spike to bulldoze anything that stands in its way.
Instead of walking like all the other scarab beetle minions, this giant beetle will be charging towards the hero. The hero has to jump to avoid the boss whilst shooting it constantly to defeat it. The sprite sheet animation is very similar to the basic scarab minions however the legs have been speeded up to animate the beetle charging rather than walking.
